Blevins, Wilmer, 87 of Dade City, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Zephyrhills FL. He was born April 18, 1926 in Dione, KY to William Blevins & Mary Elizabeth Cornett and was a longtime area resident. Wilmers was commercial driver and Teamster and took great pride in his lifetime accident free driving record. After his retirement he enjoyed working a calf-cattle operation. He was most proud of his honorable military service with the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Allene Blevins; sons: Roger Blevins and Wilmer Timothy Blevins; 4 siblings: Ruby, Betty, Robert, George; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son: Charles David Blevins. Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Dade City Church of God. The family will receive friends for viewing from 5-7pm Sunday evening at the church. Interment will follow at the Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery on US 301.
