Obituary

RODGERS, Willie C., age 77 of Dade City, passed away in Lakeland, FL on December 6, 2020. He was born on November 15, 1943 in Midway, AL to parents Robert Rodgers and Jeanette Battle Rodgers. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Midway, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jeanette Rodgers and his oldest son, Kempton Rogers.

Upon adulthood, he moved to Dade City, FL and was employed by Hercules Incorporated. He retired from Pasco County School System of Land OLakes, FL. As an avid sports fan, he favored the chant "Roll Tide Roll", as the Alabama Crimson Tide of the University of Alabama, was his favorite team.

Willie leaves a legacy of survivors: two sons: Dexter Rogers (Rachel), DiAndre Lee (Erica); three daughters: Carmen Rodgers Smith (Reginald), Mary Rodgers, Enid Rodgers; seven granddaughters: Alicia Rodgers, Danyelle Rodgers, Desirae Rogers, Camille Smith, Brandi Smith, Jada Smith, Dierica Lee; sister: Annie Starks (Albert); sister-in law: Clara Rodgers; special nieces: Brenda German, Sandra Thomas (Aurora), Arnita Reese (Washington), Patricia Stewart; special nephews: Raymond Rodgers (Jackie), Vincent Rodgers (Tina), Michael Smith; special cousin: Richard Rogers; devoted friend: Robert Anderson and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
