Willie Marie Gideons Harris Dees, 86, went home to be with her Lord on August 21, 2018. Born to Enoch Washington and Ruhama Mae Head Gideons, she grew up in Lacoochee, Florida. She became a Christian at a young age and strove to reflect Gods love and Christian values in her words and deeds. She married Charles Harris and they were married until his death in 1981. They were blessed with two children, Jerry (Pam) Harris and Sandi (Bill) Thies. In 1982, she married Cabel Dees and they were married until his death in 2018. She worked many years for American Can Company and Multi-Line Cans, Inc. As much as she enjoyed fishing, camping, sports, and crossword puzzles, she mostly enjoyed being with her family that she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, granddaughter Jena Marie Harris, siblings Pearl (Howard) Rogers, Irma (John) McElveen, E. W. (Polly) Gideons, Rev. W.J. Gideons, Bobby Gideons, Elizabeth Carol "Sister" Gideons, by brothers-in-law Roscoe Osbron, Lucky Crawford, Harley (Reba) Harris, and sister-in-law Stella Fettis. She is survived by her children, grandson Charles (Misty) Harris, great-grandsons Charles Jeffrey "CJ" Harris, Wesley "Wes" Harris, siblings Myrna Osbron, Edwin (Thelma) Gideons, and Llewellyn Crawford and sisters-in-law, Sharon Gideons, Betty Jo (Johnny) Burger, Mary Eunice Wooten, and stepsons, Lawrence (Donna Gaye) Dees and Lamar Dees. She is also survived my many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all of her loving friends and family who kept her and our family in their thoughts, prayers, and support. Also, thank you to Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee for their loving care. The family will receive friends at Clay Sink Baptist Church on Saturday, 8/25, 10:00 am 12:00 pm.
