William R. Smith 91, of Wesley Chapel passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was born November 15, 1925 in Wesley Chapel to Luther D. & Neta Stanley Smith. He was a lifelong area resident and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Following his military service, he worked in numerous occupations including the Atlantic Coastline Railroad, the Tampa Shipyard, the Merchant Marines and finally settled in as a Rancher and Farmer. He is survived by his wife: Lillian A. Smith; 3 grandchildren: Dana Russ, Arizona, William (Sherry) Russ, Jacksonville, James (Charyl) Russ, Lakeland; 2 children: Dr. Christopher Immer, New York, Kenneth Immer, South Carolina; and 1 great grandson: Christopher Russ. Funeral Services will be held 1pm Friday, August 11, 2017 at the 54 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Zephyrhills. Viewing starts at 12pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations to cancer research in his memory. Visitation
