William (Bill) Rose of Dade City, FL formerly of Montville, CT left us to walk into the outstretched arms of his Lord and Savior. Bill was born on October 16, 1947 in Alderson, WV. He was the son of Gladys Elizabeth and Charles Rose both of whom predeceased him.

Bill was a veteran serving in the military for over ten years including two tours of duty in Viet Nam (1968-69 and 1970-71) as a U.S. Navy Seabee. He was employed for many years as a truck driver retiring in 2011.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Connie (Duggan) Rose, to whom he was married on January 26, 1974. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Joshua Rose (Kristie), Jeremy Rose (Jennifer), of Montville, CT, Thomas Rose of St. Clair, MO and Brandon Huynh (Kim) of Palestine, TX, his brothers Gerald Dorsey (Wilma) of Riverview, FL, and Robert Gebhartd of Arnold, MO, sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and his faithful companion Reilly.

Bill was a member of Bishop Seabury Anglican Church, Gales Ferry, CT for many years and a member of the Alter Guild and also a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Zephyrhills, Fl.

Services will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 Highway 301, Dade City, FL at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 1 p.m. with Military Honors.

Due to COVID travel restrictions the Service and Internment will be live streamed on Facebook by going to Connie Roses Facebook page on Tuesday, August 18th at 11:00 am for the Service and 1:00 pm for the Internment with Full Military Honors.
