IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William
Oberholtzer
July 14, 1959 – June 10, 2019
William "Bill" Oberholtzer, Jr., of Zephyrhills Florida, formerly from Denver, Pa., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Tampa General Hospital after a hard fought battle against prostate cancer. Bill was born in Ephrata, Pa. and was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Burkenheizer; his father William J. Oberholtzer Sr.; and brother Raymond "Butch" Oberholtzer. Bill is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Oberholtzer; daughter Alicia Oberholtzer; sons Dennis M. and Matthew J. Burns; sisters Rita Ruoss and Ruby Goshert; five grandchildren Jamie E. and Bradley E., Emma B., Gavin B. and Grace B., as well as multiple nieces and nephews and his beloved toy poodle, little Ellie.Bill was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing. His smile and unique sense of humor will be sorely missed by his loved ones and close friends. To know Bill was to know a man who would give you the shirt off his back. He did not suffer fools kindly, and valued common sense above all. Known as the fixer to his grandchildren, there were few obstacles he could not overcome and was always willing to lend a helping hand to whomever needed it. In lieu of flowers or gifts, Bills family requests you consider a donation to the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation. Your donation can assist cancer patients, like him, with household bills and other necessary living expenses, exactly the kind of help Bill would provide if he still could. Visit Foundation.FLCancer.com/Celebrate or mail a check payable to the FCS Foundation.
