"Bill" (Lt. Col, USAF Ret) 95, of Zephyrhills passed away 12/31/2016 at Royal Oaks Nursing Center. Bill was the Valedictorian of his HS Senior Class in Alabama. He enlisted in 1940 serving in WWII and Korea as a flight navigator. After retiring from a career in the Air Force he attended Rutgers and Syracuse Universities majoring in mathematics. He then worked in the U.S. Office of Personnel Management at Fort Dix and WA, DC until moving to Florida to play golf, a lot of golf. He was predeceased by his first wife, Louise of 50 years and son, Gregory; and is survived lovingly by Mary, his wife of 21 years; his daughter, Debra and son, David (Karyn). He is also survived by grandson, Sean Boyer (Melissa), great-grandchildren, Payton and William, granddaughter, Topaz; stepsons, Allen (Barbara), LaMarcus and Michael Blount, and step-grandchildren, Allen (Mary), Kaitlyn, Bryan and Meagan. He and his ability to make you laugh with his quick wit and straight face will be sadly missed. Interment will take place at 12:30 PM January 19th at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with military honors.
