William "Bill" Goebel 82 , of Dade City, FL passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at his home. He was born August 20, 1935 in Syracuse, NY to George H. & Mary (Peltz) Goebel Jr and graduated from Valley Academy in Syracuse, NY. He worked at General Electric for 38 years, retiring in 1992 and served as President of the VJAA in New York. He worked at Saddlebrook Resort for 24 years following his move to Florida and was a devoted member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Dade City. Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years: Brenda J. Goebel; 5 children: Karen (Gary) Loudon, William A. (Havanna) Goebel, Linda (Thomas) Ross, Coleen (Michael) Schaefer, James (Cathy) Warren; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sister: Mary Theresa McLaughlin and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be held 11am Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at St. Rita Catholic Church 14404 14th Street, Dade City, FL 33523. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Bill's memory to St. Rita Catholic Church. Memorial Mass
