William Ivan Clanton "Bill" April 21, 1939 - April 22, 2023. William Ivan Clanton "Bill" age 84 of Dade City Florida Passed April 22nd, 2023 of Natural causes in Zephyrhills Florida. Bill was born April 21st, 1939 Ft. Myers Florida to Claude Leroy Clanton & Edna "Grace" Helms- Clanton-Jordan. Bill served in U.S. Air Force as a Linguist 1958-1962 then attended University of Tampa and received Associates degree in computer Programming. He then took a position with the National wildlife Federation in Arlington Virginia. Bill grew up in Dade City Florida with his Brother Claude "Leroy" Clanton, Mother Grace and Step father Talmadge Helms. Survived by his Nephew James M Holzem of Lake Tapps, WA. Denise C Hough of Ft. Wayne IN. Cousin Carol Lee Lockey of Tampa FL, Cousin Susan Hill of Blanton Fl, And cousin Thomas Jordan of Dade City Fl. Proceeded in death by Mother, Edna "Grace Helms"- Clanton-Jordan, Brother Claude Leroy Clanton, step Father Talmadge Helms. Services will be held Saturday August 19th, 2023 at 10:00 am at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Dade City. Visitation begins at 09:00am with 11:00am procession to Mt. Zion cemetery, Dade City Florida where inurnment and military funeral honors will take place.
