Obituary

William Albert Barthle (Bill), 65, lifelong resident of San Antonio Fl. left the AL-Bar Ranch for the last time on January 18, 2021. He fought a courageous battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer for seven years.

Bill was a devoted member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, San Antonio Fl. He attended Saint Anthony Catholic School through the eighth grade and graduated from Tampa Catholic High School in 1974. While there he was an outstanding athlete who excelled as football quarterback and high hurdle track record holder.

While in high school his love for the sport of rodeo grew into a lifelong passion. He had multiple Southeastern Circuit Finals Tie Down Roping qualifications. He mentored many future rodeo athletesincluding his daughters.

As a cattle rancher and community leader his accomplishments include; Pasco County Cattlemens Association president, numerous years as state director and multiple years of service on the Executive Board of the Florida Cattlemens Association. He was currently serving as Chairman of the Pasco County Fair Association Beef Committee.

He is survived by; his wife of 37 years, Paula, his two daughters Breely and Brooke, mother Estella Barthle, brother Bob Barthle (Revae), sisters Lisa Fagan (Mike), Deb Hamilton (Dale) and a number of precious nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Britney and father Albert A. Barthle.

The graveside service will be held at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 33010 SR 52 San Antonio Fl. January 26, 2021 at 10:30 am. There will be a Celebration of Life on March 7, 2021. Details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Pasco Cattlemens Association PO Box 1817 Dade City, Fl. 33526 where a scholarship is being established.
