Wilbert George Allen was born on June 4, 1932, in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, West Indies, to the late Edward James and Lizeth Gertrude Allen. He was the second of ten children and was known by everyone as "Bruce."

Bruce graduated from Runaway Bay All Age School and later attended trade school, where he learned carpentry and building construction. He later became a well-known home builder and constructed many homes in Jamaica and the United States. He also assisted in building many hotels in Jamaica and taught his trade to many workers and his children, who followed in his footsteps in building.

Bruce and Cutie met in 1960 and married soon after. She has been the love of his life for 65 years. The marriage produced four (4) boys, including five (5) other children and a set of twin boys. 1965 Bruce and Cutie attended church meetings, professed, and gave their lives to the Lord. They then began holding meetings at home, setting an excellent example for their boys.

In 1980, Bruce and Cutie migrated with their children to the United States, where he continued to work in carpentry and building. In early 2000, Bruce decided to return to Jamaica and constructed a new home where they host Sunday, Union, and Gospel meetings. They could then travel back and forth to the United States until their health became challenging. Their children decided to have them move back to Florida, where they would be closer to overseeing them. Bruce's health began to decline slowly until his Master called him home on March 27, 2025.

He leaves behind his wife, Cutie Yvonne, eight sons and one daughter, Melvin "Shuggie," Ainsley, Maverick & Mikey (twin boys), Loraine, Earnie, Wyatt, Anaphor, and Bruce Jr, several grandchildren & great grands, daughters-in-law. Brothers: Leaford, Stewart, Gilbert, Herman, Peter, and Edward. Sisters: Clerene, Curla, Noreen, nieces & nephews, & many friends.

Bruce's Homegoing service will be on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Zephyrhills, Florida. Friends and Family are welcome to arrive at 10:00 a.m.
