On Sunday July 21, 2024 Wendy Shawn Mooney was reunited with her mother Micki Kaplan. She is survived by her father Terry Toolen and her five beautiful children; Thaddeus Mathews, Estlin Mathews, Azara Mathews, Phoenix Mathews. and Xander Mooney; her spouse Graham Mooney. She recently welcomed her first grandchild Briar Hurd. She was beloved by her sisters Jennifer Swanson, Amy Plaisted and Nova Kaplan; treasured Aunt to Kaley Plaisted, Kyndall Plaisted, Sam Swanson and Van Swanson and friend to many. As a young woman she loved acting. Her favorite role was playing the lead of Juliet in Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet. She modeled as a young adult sparking a love for fashion and creation. She even had a goth Barbie made in her image. She loved beach days and would always take at least one seashell home with her. She loved dancing, creating things, and was an incredible designer and seamstress. Her greatest achievement was her 5 beautiful children. She loved motherhood so much it even led her to be a doula & midwife. She started a cloth diaper business, "Wee Wendy Wonders" and helped women encapsulate their placenta under her doula company "Wee Wonders Doula" She was adept with web design and started a store "Wendy Shawn Designs" where she could share her creations including everything from clothing, to household items to educational courses. She loved the art of mixology and bartending, having the ability to give someone the perfect drink paired with the perfect conversation to make their night. This led to her managing restaurants and bars and eventually even opening her own place, "Half Moon Bar." Wendy will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on through her children and those who have had the privilege of knowing her kind and generous soul.
