Wayne Charles Ballard, 65 passed away peacefully at his home, on January 3, 2024 with his wife, Janelle, of 45 years by his side. Wayne and Janelle were married in Dade City in 1978. He spent his life devoted to his family and working with his daughter, Brandi in their heavy equipment repair business. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandsons. He will be remembered for putting the needs of others before himself. Wayne is survived by his wife Janelle; daughter Brandi (Chad) Tadlock; grandsons Cody (Makayla) Tadlock and Tyler Tadlock; sisters Bonnie Lewis and Sandy (Garry) Huffman; Brother-in-law PC "Bubba" (Pat) Thompson and Tracy Thompson; Sister-in-law Tina Ballard; Uncles Sonny Rieger and Vince Rieger; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; cousins; grand dogs Maize, Ziva, and Kimber. He is preceded in death by His parents Roy and Shirley Ballard and Ernie Petters; siblings Janet Ballard, Mark Ballard, Kevin Ballard and Veronica Petters. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Hodges Funeral Home from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Annes Catholic Church in Ridge Manor on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:00am. This will be preceded by a Rosary at 9:30am. He will be laid to rest at Mills Family Cemetery on Burwell Road following services.
