On Thursday, April 1, 2021, Warren Garoutte passed away in the loving care of his wife of 46 years, Joyce (Jordan) Garoutte. He is survived by his two children William & Jennifer; his daughter-in-law Ellyn; his sisters Marcia & Mary (& her husband Jim); and his brother Duane (& his wife Yvonne).

Warren was born in 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri to Louis W. Garoutte and Althea (Berry) Garoutte, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Missouri, Arizona, and California. In 1968, at the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Air Force beginning a 25 year career that took him and his family to such places as Taiwan, Okinawa, and Hawaii before retiring to Florida in 1993 having achieved the rank of SMSgt. while in active service.

Warren was an avid history buff with a particular fondness for WWII history and lover of all things airplanes. His favorite hobby was building and flying remote controlled planes and he spent many enjoyable hours in the company of his flying buddies swapping stories and sharing his expertise.

Services will be held for family and friends who wish to attend on Friday, April 9, 2021 beginning at 12:00 pm.

Warren will be interred at a later date in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida in the honorable company of his fellow veterans.
