SPENCER, Walter, age 91, passed away at Royal Oak Nursing Center in Dade City, FL on October 30, 2019. He was born on May 18, 1928 in Cleveland, OH to parents Claude Spencer & Erie (McGuire) Spencer. A proud veteran, Walter served in the United States Navy during World War II. He later retired in Akron, OH after a 40 year long career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was also a lifelong Mason and Shriner, an active member of the Rod and Gun Club of Tadmor Temple in Akron, and a performer with the Kent Krazy Kops. Along with his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine; brother, Norman; and sister, Flora Mae. Loving survivors include his daughter, Valerie Spencer (Bob Hotujac); beloved grandchildren: Bailey Hotujac & Ian Hotujac; and numerous friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Walter's ashes will be interred at a later date at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in his memory to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
