Walter Clarence Howe, 75, a resident of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on September 27, 2014 in the care of Golfside Hospice after a period of failing health. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Lillian Howe, and is survived by three sons; Christopher and his wife Kelly of Boxford, MA., Brian and Travis of Pflugerville, Texas; a daughter Julie Howe of Brentwood, NH and 8 grandchildren.Walter was born in Milford, Maine on February 15, 1939 to William and Elsie Mosey Howe, the youngest of 11 children. He graduated from Old Town Senior High School and became a Production Supervisor at Fairchild Semiconductor in South Portland Maine. After retirement he enjoyed working part time in production at Downeast Candle Makers in Kennebunk Maine. Walter loved spending time with his grandchildren at the beach, and they will always remember his fun loving personality and of course, his jokes. Walter enjoyed doing crafts and cooking for the family, and created a cookbook that compiled all of his secret recipes. He was best known for Grandpa Wallys Beef Jerky. Walter was avid golfer and was happiest on a beautiful day at the golf course with Lillian. Always the life of the party, Walter was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and The Elks Club.He is survived by three sons Christopher and his wife Kelly of Boxford, MA., Brian and Travis of Pflugerville, Texas, one daughter Julie Howe Jeannette and her husband Mike of Brentwood, NH and 8 grandchildren.A private Celebration of Life will be held graveside at the Boxford Village Cemetery, in Boxford MA.
