Obituary

Walter Hornberger, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13. His life was defined by love, service, and an unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

Originally from New York and later a resident of Florida, Walter was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and a proud U.S. Army veteran. He went on to build a long and respected career in the insurance industry.

In 1957, he married the love of his life, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years. Together, they raised four children and built a life centered on faith, family, and enduring love. In retirement, Walter and his wife embraced the Florida sunshine, enjoying travel, card games, and cherished time with friends and family.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife, their four children, and six grandchildren. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, deep faith, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.

"In lieu of flowers, donations to Gulfside Hospice or St. Anthony's Church would be appreciated."
