It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter J. Dye on December 31, 2025. Wally was born August 17, 1949 in Marietta, Ohio to Walter and Nancy Dye. Living in a military family, they traveled abroad. Wally ended up in St. Petersburg, FL, and was in the Air Force during Vietnam, later attending St. Leo University where he received a Master's degree in business.

He worked as Finance Director for the city of Zephyrhills before working for the Pasco Tax Collector's Office and Pasco Clerk of Circuit Court as a certified fraud examiner. When he "retired" he opened his business "Corvette Generation" in 2005 until this year, following his passion.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jamie Dye and his children, Jason and Kristin Dye, Ryan and Laurie Dye, Suzanne O'Reilly, Rikki and Brian Donovan, Casey and Scott Scalzo and Zach Dixon, and his 12 grandchildren as well as siblings Lisa Battaglia. Bob and Catherine Dye, Mary Weaver, and Ruth and Tracy Payne and Joe Thielemann, who will tell you that Wally was his mother's favorite child!

Although he was a great husband and father, his favorite role was "Papa."
