Walter D. Clark "Mike-Trapper" died Saturday, December 17, 2016. Mike was born on November 18, 1934 in Clarion, PA. The son of the late Frank and Bertha Clark. He was a resident of North Warren, PA. He spent his summers in Barcelona, NY and his winters in Dade City, FL.He was employed by the Warren State Hospital as a maintenance supervisor. Mike was honored with the "Welfare of PA State Hospital High Achievement Award" for his engineering cost efficiency saving among many power plants state wide. He then went on to retire in 1985 after 32 years.Too young at heart to be retired, he continued to use his skills and knowledge on many mentoring ventures. Touching a lot of people along his path. His legacy will live on forever.Mike was an active volunteer member in the North Warren fire department for many years. He was a race car enthusiast from working on the cars to enjoying a Sunday Nascar race. He loved the outdoors to the fullest taking on the nickname "Trapper", another legacy.An avid hunter, Mike was the one all the kids wanted to go hunting with and he took then a lot, mentoring them, teaching them.Fishing... we'll just call him the old man of the sea...Mike had a green thumb from his gardens to his flowers and loved to share with all.He was president and founder of the "Moose Annex" Dade City, FL.He is survived in death by his wife of 62 years, Arlene (Anderegg) Clark of North Warren, whom he married on December 31, 1953; children: Debra Clark, Dina Wenzel, Darcy Smith; grandchildren: Nicholas Heeter, Jeremy Wenzel, Chad and Tyler Smith; great grandchildren: Aiden and Allie Wenzel. He is preceded in death by his two sons: Daniel and David Clark.A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
