Jenitis, Victor Francis, 96, passed into the arms of Jesus on April 12, 2019, after a short illness. He was born in Helvetia, PA, on April 20, 1922, to loving parents, John and Mary Jenitis. He was the sixth of seven children. After graduating from Sykesville High School, PA, he worked as a tailors assistant, truck driver for a salvage company, operated a Rawleigh route, and enlisted in the U.S. Army in November 1942. He was honorably discharged after an accident in December 1944. In February, 1946, he married the love of his life, Betty Huffman Jenitis, She preceded him in death in December 1982 as well as their loving son, Ronald Glenn Jenitis (Eleanor) in June 2006, and siblings, Joseph, Alice, Jennie, John, Mary, and Irene. Surviving are daughter, Vicki Ferguson (William), granddaughter, Cheri Jones(Robbie), great grandchildren, Chelsee, Thomas, Nolan, Jayden and many wonderful friends, nephews, nieces, and their families. The family moved to Exton, PA in 1957. Victor worked for Schramm, Inc., in West Chester, PA, for 36 years. Upon retirement, he mastered wood working, walked miles daily, gardened, enjoyed time with his family and friends and watched Steelers and Penn State football games. He moved to Dade City, Florida in 2011 to be near to family. He is dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1 from 10-11 am at Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 20 Shaffer St., Sykesville, PA 15865. A service will take place at 11 am. Inurnment will follow at Shaffer Cemetery.
