WHATLEY, Verna, 100 of Dade City, Florida passed away on Friday, February 01, 2013 at her daughter's home in Trilby. Verna was born in Abbeyville, Alabama on December 01, 1912. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Whatley; she was a homemaker and mother of six children, four daughters and two sons. She has two surviving daughters, Catherine Clark of Dade City, and June Reffuse of Trilby. Verna left behind five generations of family, consisting of 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 05, 2013 at the Hodges Family funeral home on Hwy 301 in Dade City, viewing starts at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Gardens.
