Verna Thornton, 89. passed on April 21 2017. Born in Dover Fox Croft Maine she has resided for the last thirty years in Beth-mar acres FL. She was a poet, Certified public accountant, real-estate broker, and good friend to many. She will be missed. She is survived by her daughter Melody Drake and her four grand-children Tom Drake and Lynn Young of Glenburn Maine, Bunny Vaughn of St. Petersburg Florida, and Lori Dawson of Lexington Kentucky. Along with a passel of great, great, grand-children and great, great, great grand-children. Her ashes will be interred in the mausoleum at the Florida veterans cemetery alongside her husband Frank Thornton. There will be no services per her request.
