Cox, Vera D., 96 of Webster (formerly of Dade City) passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 under the care of Cornerstone Hospice. She was born November 19, 1915 in Andalusia, AL to Joseph M. & Americas Goolsby Davenport. She was a longtime area resident of Dade City where she was well known for her quilting abilities. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Zephyrhills Quilt Club. She is survived by her sons: William F. Cox III and his wife Betty, of Dade City, FL, Thomas E. Cox and his wife Lynn, of Webster, FL; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Frank Cox Jr. Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. The family will receive friends for viewing one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dade City Cemetery.
