Veatrice Smith Walker 79, of Dade City passed away Monday, December 7th, 2015 at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. She was born April 26, 1936 in Headland, AL to Preston & Dovie Oliver Smith Sr.. She was a retired Quality Control Supervisor in the Carpet Manufacturing Industry and an active member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Veatrice enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and various crafts, but she really loved spending time with her family, traveling and eating at Cracker Barrel. Veatrice is survived by her sister: Sallie Mae Smith Martin, Dothan, AL; brother: David Smith, Thomaston, GA; children: Thomas Wayne Woodham, Bonifay, FL, Vickie Lee Walker Novak, Dade City, FL; 2 grandchildren: Charles Andrew Barton, Sherman Drew Barton, both of Dade City, FL; 4 great-grandsons: Connor Owen Barton, Bentley Thomas Barton, Cayden Mica Barton, Mason Lee Barton; and many other close family and friends. A Celebration of her Life will be held 11am Saturday, December 12th, 2015 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in her memory to St. Rita Catholic Church. Celebration of Life Service
