Baker, Valerie Lorraine, 50 of Dade City, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Tampa after a short battle with cancer. She was born July 10, 1964 in Plant City, FL to Joseph J. & Bertha Lene Cannon and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by her children: Chelsea Crutcher, Casi (Robert) Gant, Peyton Baker, Jarhett Baker; 5 grandchildren: Coleman, Haylee, Riley, Madison, Ashtyn; parents: Joseph & Marjorie Cannon; siblings: Joseph (Mary) Cannon Jr, Cynthia (David) Gude, Stephen (Lana) Barthle; numerous close extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother: Bertha Cannon; niece: Nicole Cannon; and mother-in-law: Ruth Baker. Services will be held 5pm Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Dade City Church of God, located at 14520 N. 21st Street in Dade City. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm at the church on Saturday. Hodges Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
