IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ursula
Cobb
January 2, 1931 – May 12, 2022
Ursula Cobb, 91, of San Antonio, Florida, passed away on May 12, 2022.
She is predeceased by her husband, Rupert Cobb (U.S. Army - retired), to whom she was married for 63 years. Surviving family members include her daughter, Nancy Stewart (St Petersburg, FL) and son, Bernard Cobb (Atlanta, GA), along with 2 granddaughters, Lauren Rutledge and husband Nathan (Atlanta), Stacey Choi and husband Jonathan (Charlotte, NC), and 3 great-grandchildren (Carson, Savannah, and Toby).
Ursula was born on January 2, 1931, in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Along with her family, she survived WWII, and following graduation from high school, married Rupert who was in Germany as part of the post-war occupation forces. She and Rupert were stationed throughout the US and Germany during his 20 years of military service with the United States Army. In 1967 they retired to Hopewell, Virginia, near Fort Lee, and began new jobs in the chemical and automotive industries. After retiring a second time in Virginia, in the mid-90s they began to visit Florida during the winter and made the permanent move south in 2000. Ursula worked outside the home in numerous administrative positions during Ruperts time in the Army. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was an excellent cook and took pleasure in making her favorite meals and desserts for family birthdays and special occasions. Ursula was kind-hearted, loving, and generous and will be truly missed by her family and friends.
There will be a brief celebration of life ceremony at 10:30 am on May 27, 2022, at the Bushnell Veterans Cemetery for family and friends. As there are no provisions for receiving flowers at the cemetery, anyone wishing to honor Ursula may do so with a contribution to one of the many organizations dedicated to Cancer research.
