Una Carlene Mooney, 70, of Dade City, Florida passed away May 6, 2021. Una was born December 7, 1950 in Brooksville, Florida to Carl & Mary Wooten. She was a member of Dade City Church of God choir. Una was dedicated for 45 years to teaching elementary school; 40 years being spent with Lacoochee Elementary School.

Una is survived by her husband of 37 years: Donald Merle Mooney; daughter: Beth Garcia; Son-in-law of 21 years: Rafael Garcia; Grandchildren: Adrian, Jordan, Jace and Mia; Sister: Rebecca; and her mother: Mary Wooten.

She is preceded in death by her brother: Norman Wooten.

She bravely fought lung cancer and ultimately won the battle and is spending eternity singing in heaven.

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 10, 2021, at 12:00 pm at Chapel Hill Garden Cemetery. A time for gathering and remembrance will take place before the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City.
