Obituary

Martin, Tommy, February 7, 2015. Born July 13, 1945, the son of Lee and Marie Martin of Harrimen, TN. Cowboy, horse trainer, wagoner, Daddy. He was a legend in his own time. His father, Lee Martin, taught him to train mules and horses at a young age. He cowboyed on several ranches; rode with the cracker's horse drive in Florida. He was a Rangler on a wagon train from Florida to Pennsylvania. He trained and brokered horses and mules. Tommy was a simple man with a big heart. He didn't have much in life, but he made the most of what he had and shared it with others. He had what counted: family and friends. He thanked God everyday, "the cowboy way" for: his family and friends, shelter and food, a good horse, a mule that didn't kick, a saddle that didn't squeak, a good hat, boots that didn't leak, the sun and the moon and all the trails in between. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Marie Martin. Survived by: 2 sisters, Ruby and Nellie and 3 brothers, Jackie, Jimmy and David. 9 children: Pam, Angie, Jeffrey, Angela, Laura, Larry, Sherry, Lisa and James. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. We will treasure our memories and carry them with us forever.
