Tommy Wilson Brown, 82, of Darby, Florida passed away on December 13, 2022. He was born on July 11, 1940 in Miami, Florida to Victor and Ann Brown. He grew up with his siblings: Peggy Owens and Teddy Brown. On August 18,1962 he married his love: Janie Lucille Eubanks. Tommy graduated from Decatur High school and continued as a lifelong learner. He was self- educated through several business courses and being an avid reader. Tommy was the president, founder, and owner of Brown Automatic Sprinklers Inc. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Egypt Shrine, Florida Fire Sprinkler Association. Tommy was appointed by the governor to the Florida Safety Board, President of ABC Association Builders and Contractors, and member of the board of directors of Fort Brooke Savings and Loan Bank. He was also the deacon at Bayshore Baptist Church. He enjoyed golf, boating, reading, traveling, sports and spending time with his family. Tommy is survived by his wife of 60 years: Janie Eubanks Brown; Children: Matthew David Brown Sr. (Valerie), Joann Brown Sherrill (Herb); Grandchildren: Mitchell Victor Brown (Jamie), Martin Robert Brown, Katie Ann Brinkley, Julia Elizabeth Lindsey (Josh), Matthew David Brown Jr., Mason Samuel Brown, Nichole Sherrill, John D. Barnes. Great-grandchild: Robert Tommy Brown. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida.
