Timothy Floyd Philmon, 66, of Dade City, Florida, died on March 30, 2022, in Zephyrhills, FL. Tim was born on August 22, 1955, the eldest son of William Floyd Philmon and Ruth Verginia Wetherington Philmon in Dade City. After Tim graduated from Pasco High School in 1973, he matriculated to University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1977. Upon graduation, he embarked on his role as a Physical Education teacher with Pasco County Schools. Tims passion for sports, coupled with his commitment to guiding students to their full potential, translated to a 32-year career with the school district. Through his teaching, Tim made countless friendship and mentored generations of students.

A lifelong resident of Dade City, Tim grew up in the citrus groves. Working alongside his father, he learned the intricacies of citrus farming and Florida agriculture. Tim was a board member and Treasurer of Pasco County Farm Bureau, a board member and Secretary of Winter Haven Citrus Growers Association, and former board member of Florida Citrus Mutual.

In 1975 while working in Yellowstone National Park, Tim met Margaret "Peggy" Ann Schaumberg. They were wed on October 22, 1977 in her hometown of Santa Fe, NM. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; siblings, Becki Stalnaker (Randy) and Mark Philmon (Chris); children; Ryan Philmon (Betsy) and Megan Vogler (Tim). He is also survived by two granddaughters: Lowry Philmon and Tamaryn Vogler.

Arrangements for the services are being made by Hodges Family Funeral Home, Dade City, Florida. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Dade City at 10 A.M. Donations can be made to the following charities:
