Timothy D Franke, 73, of Wesley Chapel, passed away January 27, 2022. He was born in Milwaukee, Wi to Harold and Dorothy (Sherman) Franke on September 17, 1948. Tim graduated from Wauwatosa East High School and after graduation moved to Florida with his parents. He studied architecture and worked at many architectural firms in the early part of his career. When he started working at JDR architects, he built lasting friendships with Jim Rhule and Robert Byrd. In 1990, he started work for the University of South Florida as a facilities planner. During his 26 years at USF, he worked with Facilities Planning, USF Health Sciences Center including the College of Nursing, and many construction projects.Tim enjoyed refurbishing horse carriages and raising horses. In 1990, Tim married his high school sweetheart, Mardell, and they spent 31 years together. They enjoyed traveling with friends, hosting parties and becoming a blended family with Dena, Janay, and Kari. Tim was an avid reader, collector of guns, knives and artifacts, enjoyed canoeing and kayaking, and being Mardells husband. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church for 30 years. He served as an elder, member of the property committee where he contributed his architectural abilities for many projects, and the favorite van driver for the monthly super club.He is survived by his wife, Mardell Franke of Wesley Chapel, Daughters; Dena Long, of Wesley Chapel, Janay Brewer, of Wesley Chapel and Kari Holley(Brian) of Dunn, North Carolina, brother; Jeff Franke (Clara) Charlotte, North Carolina, Nieces; Rebecca Bilello (Paul), Shelly Franke, Cathy Fatigati (Jim) and Nephews; Robert Franke, David Franke (Jacquie), Grandchildren; Nicole, Joshua (Vanessa), Devon (girlfriend Ashley), Carson, Jackson, Gavin, Brenden, Melanie, Makayla, Loralai, and Eli. Memorial Service will be at The First Presbyterian Church in Zephyrhills on February 19, 2022. Guests will be received starting at 1:00 pm with the memorial service at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to The First Presbyterian Church of Zephyrhills or the Alzheimers Association.
