Timothy F
Carman
May 22, 1950 – May 16, 2025
Timothy "Tim" Carman was a caring husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
He left this world suddenly on May 16, 2025 at the age of 74. He leaves behind a
Wife, a Son and Daughter, and four Grandchildren.
He was born in Wareham, MA on May 22, 1950 to Walton and Dolema "Dolly"
Carman. Tim is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife

Carman; his siblings: Lynn Lachance (Jack) of W. Wareham, MA, and Kim Carman
of Wareham, MA; his in-law siblings: Janet Johnson (Michael) and Jack Hix both
of Brandon, FL; his nieces and nephews, Scott, Troy, and Romi Cully, Robin
Sanchez, Jessica and Shawn Hix, and Courtney Sumner.
After graduating from Wareham High School, he continued his education at
Bristol Community College in Fall River, MA. Tim followed his dreams to serve in
the military and in 1972 enlisted in the United States Air Force and returned to the
Buzzards Bay area and served at Otis Air Force Base (AFB), Cape Cod, MA as a
Radio Maintenance technician, helping to close the base, shortly after arriving.
Tim transitioned to Eglin AFB, FL where he met the love of his life, Harriett
Carman. They married and welcomed their Son (James) and Daughter (Mary) to
the world. While In Florida, Tim pursued his Bachelor's Degree in Facility
Management from Troy State University for the purpose of gaining his
commission as an Officer in the Air Force. In 1980 he attended Officer Candidate
School and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. Military life landed them in
Illinois a couple times and in Massachusetts, with Tim taking a quick assignment
to Osan, Korea. Tim retired in September 1992, as a Captain in the 1500
Computer Systems Group at Scott AFB, IL. Following his retirement, Tim
eventually returned to government service and completed another 20 years as a
civilian employee at various units at Scott AFB, IL. to include Headquarters Air
Mobility Command and the Enterprise Infrastructure Systems section of the
Cyberspace Support Squadron. He retired from Civil Service in June 2015.
Tim loved spending time helping his grandkids with any and every project they
had. He loved being a good neighbor and helping the community. Tim was
passionate about his models, planes, cars, figurines; it didn't matter he would
spend hours in his den working on several projects at a time. He also loved
making wood yard decorations, and the odd shelf or unique project for someone.
He loved the challenge and trying to figure out how to build something just for the
simple fact that it would help someone out. Tim would do anything to help a
friend with a smile on his face. It didn't take a lot to make Tim happy, he was a
humble and grateful person who appreciated the people around him. He spent all
of his free time with family and friends, and all of his professional time in the
service of others.
