Thomas "Tom" John Lucas, 71, of Zephyrhills passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 21, 2021. He was born in Champaign, Illinois on November 20, 1949, to Mary Alice and Robert Dale Lucas.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ann Lucas, whom he met in 1966. The two fell in love and were married December 5, 1967.

Tom is also survived by his daughters Tammy Madden (Eric), Theresa Lucas, Tina Edwards (Jon), and fourteen beautiful grandchildren who blessed him with nine great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers, Robert Lucas (Marilyn) and Stephen Lucas (Cheryl), many nieces and nephews and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister, Ethel "Dale" Crews and her husband, George "Buddy" Crews.

Tom was an Army veteran who bravely served in Korea in 1968. He was a successful businessman, an avid fisherman, skilled wood worker, but above all Tom loved his family with passion that was expressed perfectly by a preacher who once told the family, "Remember, if he wasnt yelling at you, he did not love you". Tom was a strong, caring man who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
