Thomas S. "Tommy" Green Jr 87, of Dade City passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. He was born August 27, 1929 in Lacoochee, FL to Thomas Scottie Green Sr & Lessie Spivey Green and was a lifelong area resident. Tommy served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Green's Pest Control and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dade City where he was active with the nursing home ministries. Tommy is survived by his children: Billy Green (Lisa) and Monica Class (Jim); grandson: Evan Green; great grandson: Braiden Green; great granddaughter: Riley Theel; 2 sisters: Judy Johnson (Harlan), Ann Ratliff; and brother: Jimmy Green (Rita) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years: Allie Pearl Green; parents: Thomas S. & Lessie Green; 3 brothers: Billy, Gene, Johnny Green; and 1 sister: Joyce Myrick. Funeral Services will be held 10am Monday, March 20, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Dade City 37511 Church Avenue Dade City, Florida 33525. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. The family will receive friends for viewing from 4-6pm Sunday at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family request donations in his memory to the nursing home ministry at First Baptist Church in Dade City. Visitation
