Thomas Franklin Gearhart, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023, at the age of 79, after a 3-year battle with cancer. He was born on December 11, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Fremont, Michigan as a child and stayed there until his graduation in 1962. A dedicated family man, Thomas worked for 30 years at GM before he and Geri moved from the Flint area to Zephyrhills, Florida to enjoy the sun and golf! He is preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Regina Gearhart, his brother James Gearhart, and his son Thomas Franklin Gearhart II. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Geri Gearhart, his sister Verla Gearhart Cook, his daughter Dana Bacon, stepchildren Jason, Brian and Stacy Dolan, grandchildren Sarah Moore, Emily Gearhart, Trevor, Brady, Chase, and Caleb Dolan, along with great-grandchildren Ruger and Riaha Moore as well as several nieces and nephews. Thomas had a profound love for his family, the guitar, golfing, and softball, often sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge with those around him. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his ability to bring people together, and his unwavering generosity.
