Theresa Childers, 55, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 after battling with cancer. She was surrounded by family and has found peace with the Lord.Theresa was not only an educator in academics but also in religious studies. She devoted her life to serving others and the Lord.She spent her early years of life volunteering at nursing homes and working with adults with special needs. She then went on to working with special needs grade school children, earning herself Teacher of The Year. Her later years of life included tutoring and working as a grade school catechist. Above all else, her first calling in life was being a devoted mother to her three beautiful children.Theresas kindness, compassion, and joy is something that you could feel the second she walked in the room. Every person that came into contact with her experienced her unconditional love and acceptance. To experience Theresa was a once in a life time experience.Theresas beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Donald (Wesley Chapel), her three children, Alexandra (Jay Honre) Giacin, Nicholas Giacin, and Vincent Giacin, as well as her mother, Mary Kelsch (NY) and siblings, Kathleen Kelsch (NY), Debra (Paul) Ammann (NY), Thomas Kelsch (Wesley Chapel), and Brian (Leah) Kelsch (NH).Visitation service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home, 36327 SR-54 on Friday 7/1, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 5316 11th Street on Saturday 7/2, at 11:00 a.m.In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Easter Seals Florida in her honor.
