Theodore Paul Kiefer of San Antonio, FL died peacefully at home December 16, 2025, surrounded by his children, grandson, and niece, Nina.

Ted was born June 23, 1941, as the son of the late Richard and Claire Kiefer. Teddy was a dutiful son. Upon tragedy, and after serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps (1963–1966), he returned home to take over his father's orange groves and ranches. He loved playing his piano, trading history books with his sisters, watching trains with his children, and looking at the heavens with his nephews and grandchildren.

Ted was the loving husband of his late wife, Charlotte. He leaves behind with broken hearts his daughter, Emily (Eli) Bourie of Plant City, FL; son, Kyle (Marcy) Kiefer of Chagrin Falls, OH; son, Theodore Kiefer Jr. of San Antonio, FL; stepsons, Joseph and Robert Welbourn; sister, Kathleen Calegari; sisters, Christine and Elaine Kiefer; grandchildren, David, Grace, Eva, Colette, Lilia, Johann, and Lazarus Bourie; and granddaughters, Addie and Leah Kiefer. He was predeceased by brother Richard and sisters Marilyn Hines and Lorraine Kiefer.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio, FL, at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025. Ted's children request that you thank God for the gift of his life and pray for him.
