Thelma was born November 3, 1924 to Marvin Wheeler and Della Spradley Wheeler. She passed away July 28, after a brief illness. She was born in North Columbia County, but lived most of her life in Polk County (Kathleen, Florida). She faithfully attended the Richland Baptist Church and retired from Lykes Pasco Packing Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lamar Chauncey, her parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by 3 sons, David Chauncey (Cindy) of Kathleen, FL, Burt Chauncey (Kay) Old Town, FL, Wayne Chauncey (Audra) Old Town, FL and 1 daughter, Audrey Marshburn (Frank) of Lake City, FL. She is also survived by 4 sisters of Lake City, FL: Betty Stumph (Daryl), June Walter, Alice Stevens (Rick) and Charlotte Collins, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. One very special sister-in-law (Estelle Geiger) and a special friend (Linda Hurley).

Funeral services and burial will be in Dade City, Florida at Hodges Family Funeral Home (11441 Hwy 301, Dade City, FL 33525), on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11am. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens.
