Tait, Sylvia Florence née Honey. Passed peacefully in her home 6/21/2025 with her children steadfast by her side. Born in Portsmouth, England, 4/17/1933, the only child of Alfred and Violet (Frye) Honey. Sylvia arrived in Dade City, Florida in 1955 as bride to be of John Edward Tait. Sylvia was preceded in death by her spouse of 58 years John Tait, loving son Stephen Tait and grandson Armand Vega. She leaves behind daughter Susan Vega and son David Tait (lynn), 7 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grands, her long time devoted friend(s) Linda (Bill) Spivey and many extended family members. She was a home maker first and foremost and a wonderful kindergarten teachers assistant at Pasco Elementary. Sylvia was quick witted right up to her last breath. She would freely share first person accounts of WWII as a child growing up in England. She traveled home to England yearly to reminisce and spend her summer on beautiful Isle of Wight, her utopia. Sylvia was generous to a fault with a giving heart. She will be missed and forever in the hearts of those that knew her.
