Sybil J. Adams 78, of Dade City, FL passed away Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 in Zephyrhills under the care of Gulfside Regional Hospice. She was born April 29, 1942, in Lacoochee, FL and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections office and was an active member of the Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. Sybil is survived by her husband of 52 years: John S. Adams; 2 children: Michael S. Adams (Kelley Jo), Alisha Douglas; her siblings: Edwin Hines (Kathy), Sandra Revels (Harrell); 5 grandchildren: Joshua Wilson (Brianna), Trent Adams, Chloe Douglas, Keagan Douglas, Kenadey Purkis; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Dick Hines, her mother Edna Hines, 2 brothers: Dan Hines and Dale Hines, and her sister-in-law: Jeanette Hines.Funeral Services will be held 12pm Saturday, January 2nd, 2021 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Dade City Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in her memory to the Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
