IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sue Lynn
Meinhardt
November 22, 1946 – November 13, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce that Sue Lynn Meinhardt unexpectedly passed away on November 13, 2024, just 9 days before her 78th birthday, in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Born in Greensborough, Georgia on November 22, 1946, Lynn lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering dedication to her family and loved ones. The backbone and glue of her family, Lynn dedicated much of her adult life to the upbringing of her younger sisters,11 nieces and nephews,15 great nieces and nephews, and 7 great-great nieces and nephews, but she didn't stop there. Among Lynn's several careers, including a long-haul truck driver and restaurant manager, and crossing guard, she was a dedicated Pasco County School bus driver, later specializing as a bus driver specifically for special needs students.
Due to her community facing roles, combined with her witty and vivacious personality, Lynn's reach in her community was far and wide, serving as a motherly figure to hundreds of children and young adults along the way. She never met a stranger, and endeared everyone she met with her warm, nurturing heart. Those who were lucky enough to know her best can attest that her spunk, wit, and humor made her a treasure to be around...though her famous potato salad, homemade biscuits, chocolate eclairs, and banana bread didn't hurt her notoriety in the least.
Her parents, James and Geraldine Harper; Sister, Geri Healey; and Brother in Law, Jimmy Ponchot preceded her in death. Lynn leaves behind her beloved sisters; Mary Ponchot, Jane McCraw (Betty Malick), Patricia Powell (Dennis Thrasher), Heather Arrant, and Olivia Arrant; as well as 11 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews, and 7 great-great nieces and nephews.
