NEW, Steven Heath, 55, passed away on Wed. March 14, 2012 in Zephyrhills, FL where he's lived for the past 20 years. Steve was born Aug. 21, 1956 in Anderson, SC to Barbara Jean Garvin New Mitchell and Hunter Herman New, Jr. and grew up in Clearwater, SC. He is survived by his daughter Lauren Haley, son Christopher William, one grandchild, brother Michael Hunter Mitchell of Augusta, GA, sister Lori Mitchell Barnett, of Austin, TX and step-father Wayne L. Mitchell of North Augusta, SC. Steve was preceded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth "Laney" Boyd New in 2010, and his mother and his father. Steve was a dedicated christian, father, husband, brother and friend. He was the owner of Custom Built Interiors and was a master craftsman trim carpenter and artist. The family will receive friends on Monday, Mar. 19th from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home 11441 Hwy 301 Dade City where funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 2:00 pm. Steve will be laid to rest next to his wife at Floral Memory Gardens, Dade City.
