Steven Braverman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 29,1953 to Etta and Gilbert. Little did he know that he would marry Della twenty two years later on the same date. Steve graduated from George Washington High School and a few years later felt he needed to help Israel by volunteering on a kibbutz during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. That started his life long love for Israel. After working in the family business of Fount Wip, he and Della volunteered on several kibbutzim throughout the years. They then made aliyah (immigrated) to Israel in 1988 and their son Gil was born there. Returning to the U.S. in the early 90's, Steve worked for the Cardinal Health Co. and retired after twenty years. During his retirement he volunteered for the Holocaust National Museum doing research and generally enjoyed retirement. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tampa Bay Humane Society in Steve's honor.
