Stanley J. Lukasiewicz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully in his sleep on 20 July 2026 at the age of 86. Born on 22 October 1939 in Holyoke Massachusetts, Stan was the cherished son of Stanley and Sally Lukasiewicz.

Stan grew up in Holyoke, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and graduated from Holyoke High School. With a profound sense of duty, he served his country in both the Air Force and the Air National Guard, an experience that instilled in him a steadfast commitment to service and integrity.

After his military service, Stan embarked on a successful career, first at Pratt & Whitney and later at Colt Firearms. His dedication and work ethic were hallmarks of his professional life, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike.

Stan’s life was enriched by his many passions. An avid golfer and bowler, he could often be found on the fairways or at the lanes, sharing laughs and creating memories with those he loved. Stan also had a fondness for building model airplanes, a hobby that brought him joy and allowed him to express his creativity and love of aviation.

Above all, Stan will be remembered for his unwavering positivity. He approached life with an optimistic spirit and a warm smile. His kindness, generosity and gentle nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends.

Stan is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Kathy, who was his rock and constant companion. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. He is survived by his daughter, Sue of Venice FL and her partner Serge, and his son Greg of Phoenix AZ & his wife, Christine. Stan’s legacy continues through his cherished granddaughters, Nicole and Savannah, who brought immense joy to his life.

Preceding him in death was his dear sister, Lillian Fortenberry, with whom he shared a close bond.

As we say goodbye to Stan, we celebrate a life will-lived and a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude.
