Sonya D Newman age 40, of Dade City, passed away Saturday, February 25th, 2023 suddenly.

Sonya was born in Dade City, Fl she was the daughter of Henry Leroy Newman and Jesse Mae Smith.

Survivors include her husband Daniel C Jackson Sr, children Brianna Danielle Jackson, Timber Chyann Dees, and Brayden Isaiah Chambers, siblings Tammy Davis, Donna Daniels, Douglas Daniels, Lynn Buchanan, JR Adams, and Crystal Bryant.

Sonya enjoyed going to church and spending time with her kids. Sonya was the winner of PLIGHTs Parenting Excellence Award in 2017 and was honored at the annual scholarship banquet " According to the organization, winning honorees must exemplify qualities of "sacrificial love, have overcome major obstacles to provide for childrens personal development, exhibit qualities of personal, moral virtue and religious commitment, have a noteworthy record of contributions to their family and community, support continued education, and is currently parenting youth who are involved in church, school and the community." Newman was nominated for showing these qualities and said that she feels very honored. "Its hard sometimes, but God helps us through,"

Sonya although you are no longer with us in life, we will honor our life with you by focusing on the joy we shared. In our grief, our tears give testimony to the love we have for you.
