Obituary

Skip (Charles) Evan Jefferis Jr. was born on October 22, 1945 in Uniontown, PA. to the late Charles E. Jefferis Sr. and Harriet (Beggs) Jefferis. He went home to be with his loving Lord and Savior on August 7, 2020.

Skip is survived by his loving wife, Carla; two sisters Francis Jefferis Myers and Cynthia Moritz; nieces, nephews and many friends.

After high school Skip joined the Marine Corp and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1967. He was a firefighter for Bethesda, Maryland Fire Department for 18 years. Skip loved being a firefighter, but had to retire early due to an injury on the job. After his retirement he moved to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and opened a chartered fishing business. Skip was an adventurous man who sold the charter boat and bought a fifth wheel toy hauler and a Harley. Then he headed out on the open road which eventually lead him to Florida where he met his wife Carla.

His deep faith and love for his Lord drew him to New Hope Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, where he enjoyed attending services and fellowship with other church members.
