Obituary

Sigi Moores passed away January 3, 2020. Sigi was born in 1937 as Sigrid Hildegard Staetter in Stuttgart Germany to her parents Albertina (Nanz) and Willi Staetter. She lived her early school years in Germany but as a teenager came to the United States, living much of her life in Michigan and then in Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her previous husband Blythe Green, her sister Ilse Avery, and her beloved son, Eugene Davis of Traverse City, Michigan. Survivors include her loving husband, Chester Moores, niece Julie Antley of Carthage, Texas, nephew Wolfgang Avery of Bernie, Texas, great niece, Amanda Avery, nephews Miles Green, John Green ad Theo Green, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law including: Heidie and Gary Roy of Milford, Maine, Rose and Bernie Farmer of Lubec, Maine, Wayne and Millie Moores of Lubec, Maine, Timmy and Amy Moores of Maine, Gaye Moores and Bob York of Windsor, Maine, Sharon and John Haschalk of Zephyrhills, Florida, Jeanine and Robert Heyer of Zephyrhills, Florida, Randy Heyer of Windsor, Maine. Also her very long time friend, Irene Buchs, formerly of Zephyrhills, Florida. And not to be be forgotten, her precious little dog, Joshua, who she loved dearly. Sigi lived many years in Michigan with her son and last husband, Blythe, and in Florida part time after retiring, and then full time for the last 25 years. She enjoyed traveling and visiting new places. She loved to shop and enjoyed going out to eat. Since she was German, one of her favorite restaurants was Dunderbaks in Tampa. She often traveled to the German village of Helen, Georgia with her husband, Chester and often with her friend, Irene. After Sigi and Chester married they traveled to Maine to visit his family and she fell in love with the area, and they recently bought a home there and had planned to move there. Sigi lived life to the fullest and will always be remembered for her love of life. There will be a memorial service for her at Charity Baptist Church - 3825 Morris Bridge Rd on Thursday January 9th at 2:00 in the afternoon. Memorial Service
