Shirley Mae Wagner, 81, of Wesley Chapel, formerly of Davenport, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Wesley Chapel, Florida. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 12 Noon in the Runge Mortuary Chapel in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2-5 PM, Monday, May 30, 2016 at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association . Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island. Shirley was born on May 18, 1935 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Ludwig and Hortense (Silberstein) Turnquist. She was united in marriage to William Davis. He preceded her in death. She later married Harry Wagner. He preceded her in death. Shirley enjoyed bowling and watching sports, especially the San Antonio Spurs, and the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning "Bolts". She especially loved spending time with her family. Shirley is survived by six children: Mona Dunn, Davenport, IA, Connie Davis-DeLong, Wesley Chapel, FL, Koreen Schork, Maquoketa, IA, Melody Bowdoin, San Antonio, TX, Tina Brown, San Antonio, TX, Barbara Davis, Warner Robins, GA; two brothers: Ludwig George Turnquist and Richard Turnquist; 13 grandchildren, an abundance of great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and three great grandchildren.
