Shirley Dukes Trebour, 88, of Zephyrhills, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at Florida Medical Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born in Zephyrhills to John F. and Myrtie Stephenson on July 1, 1928. The family moved to Mentor, Ohio for work and returned to Zephyrhills after Shirley graduated high school. Over the years, she worked as a secretary and floral designer and was a dedicated mother and housewife.

Shirley leaves behind her devoted husband of 39 years, Ernest Trebour, her brother, Jon Stephenson, three children, Cheryl Long (Hugh) of Palm Coast, Laurie Mitchell (Marco) of Gainesville, Martin Dukes (Lola) of Zephyrhills, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In her day, Shirley enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, reading, quilting, crocheting, singing, dancing, and the beach. She loved her family and her precious pets, Sweetie and Stitch.A Celebration of Life will be held February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at the chapel of the First United Methodist Church, 8904 5th Ave. Zephryhills, FL, with lunch following the service.
