Shirley Nadine Brown, age 84 went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 in Zephyrhills, Fl. After a short hospital stay she passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 8th, 1939 in Rock Falls, Illinois to Shirley Albert Matthews and Bessie Nadine Bowers. She was the 3rd of 11 children. She worked for Dr. Duany in Tampa for 15 yrs then received her real estate brokers license and acquired Gold Keys realty where she worked until her retirement.She had many hobbies but her favorite was jewelry making. She absolutely loved Jesus Christ, her brothers and sisters, her 3 children, 3 step-children, 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was such a caring and generous person to everyone she met. She was our Angel this side of Heaven and was much loved! She is preceded in death by her son, Shirley Robert Smith, her father, Shirley Albert Matthews, her mother Bessie Matthews, her brothers, Roy Matthews, Gary Matthews, Marvin Matthews, Bill Matthews, Bobby Matthews, half-brother Bud Kincaid, her sister Karen Russell, and grandson, Kevin Wynn. She is survived by her sisters, Gloria Slusser, Marge Benton and Shirlene Garrison daughters, Sherry Brown (Charlie), Cindi Germond (Dan), Rhonda Millstead, her son Lonnie Smith (Beth), daughter-in-law, Cindy Smith,Grandchildren- Adam White, Stacey Najar (Mike), Adriane Cooper (Craig), David Lundy (Patricia), Kayla Smith, Brianna Green, Caleb Green, Andrew Stafford. Great Grandchildren- Gage, Noah, Damian, Addyson, Abbygail, Aiden, Hailie, Everley, Ryan, Savannah, Emma, Alex, Marleigh and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 1 PM Wednesday, March 8th at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens
